Nancy Miranda, Ohio Red State Coordinator, Braver Angels

“While our team has always had a good working relationship, our approach to getting things done was far from structured.  Too often this led to ideas/initiatives getting sidelined prior to completion.  Focus and prioritization were continually changing, partly because each of us were constantly taking on more. Through Valerie's coaching, we came to an agreement that more is not better and that it is okay to say 'no'.  We recognized that structure and planning were needed if we wanted Ohio to remain a leading state within Braver Angels. With Valerie's help we have brought structure to our weekly State Coordinator meetings resulting in productive discussion/resolution sessions rather than the former 'free for all'.  We are also moving forward with a Strategic Plan for 2025 focusing on realistic and measurable goals. I am sure my fellow State Coordinators would agree the team coaching experience was definitely beneficial and well worth the time.  A big thanks to Valerie for making this happen.”
